This Refund & Cancellation Policy ("Policy") governs refunds, cancellations, and subscription terminations for paid services offered by TripProf ("TripProf", "we", "us", or "our").
This Policy forms an integral part of the Terms of Service and should be read together with the Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
1. Overview of Paid Services
TripProf offers paid features through:
Credits (prepaid, usage-based access to paid sections of Trip Reports), and
Subscriptions (monthly or annual recurring access to certain features).
All payments are processed exclusively by Stripe or, where applicable, through Apple App Store or Google Play in accordance with their respective policies.
2. Credits Policy
2.1 Nature and Validity of Credits
Credits:
are digital, non-tangible goods,
are non-transferable,
have no cash or monetary equivalent.
Credit validity depends on how they were acquired:
Purchased Credits (packs): Validity and usage conditions are as described in the Services at the time of purchase.
Subscription Credits: Valid until the end of the billing period in which they were granted. Unused subscription credits do not carry over to the next billing period.
2.2 Use of Credits
Credits are consumed when you:
unlock paid sections of a Trip Report,
access other paid features as described in the Services.
Once Credits are used, the corresponding transaction is considered final.
2.3 Refunds for Credits
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
Unused Credits are non-refundable.
Used Credits are non-refundable under all circumstances.
No refunds are provided for dissatisfaction with AI-generated or advisory content.
Mandatory consumer rights under applicable law (including EU consumer protection laws) remain unaffected.
3. Subscription Policy
3.1 Subscription Term and Renewal
Subscriptions:
are offered on a monthly or annual basis,
automatically renew at the end of each billing period,
remain active until canceled.
3.2 Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your Subscription at any time:
via the Stripe customer portal, accessible through the cancellation link in your TripProf account or application, or
via the relevant platform (Apple App Store / Google Play), if purchased through those platforms.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
No partial refunds are issued for unused time, unless required by law.
3.3 Effect of Account Deletion
If you delete your TripProf account:
any active Subscription is automatically canceled,
access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period,
no refunds are issued for remaining time, unless required by law.
4. Refunds for Subscriptions
4.1 General Rule
Except where mandatory law provides otherwise:
Subscription fees are non-refundable,
no refunds or credits are issued for partial use, inactivity, or unused periods.
4.2 Statutory Right of Withdrawal (EU / UK Consumers)
If you are a consumer located in the EU or UK, you may have a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal.
By purchasing a Subscription or Credits and explicitly requesting immediate access to digital content, you acknowledge and agree that:
the service begins immediately,
you waive your right of withdrawal once the digital content has been accessed or Credits have been used, to the extent permitted by law.
5. No Refunds for Content Outcomes
TripProf provides:
AI-generated recommendations,
informational Trip Reports,
advisory content based on user input and third-party experiences.
Accordingly:
refunds are not granted based on perceived accuracy, usefulness, or outcomes of the content,
TripProf does not guarantee results, satisfaction, or suitability.
6. Billing Errors and Exceptional Circumstances
Refunds may be considered solely at TripProf's discretion in cases of:
proven duplicate charges,
demonstrable technical billing errors attributable to TripProf or Stripe.
Such requests must be submitted within 14 days of the charge.
This section applies exclusively to purchases made via Stripe (web). For billing errors on App Store or Google Play purchases, please refer to Section 7.
7. Third-Party Platform Purchases
If you purchase paid services via:
Apple App Store, or
Google Play Store,
refunds and cancellations are governed exclusively by the policies of those platforms, and TripProf has no ability to override their decisions.
8. Fraud, Abuse, and Violations
TripProf reserves the right to:
deny refunds,
suspend or terminate accounts,
in cases of suspected fraud, abuse, chargebacks, or violation of the Terms of Service.
9. Data and Refunds
Refunds, cancellations, or account deletion do not affect data processing obligations under the Privacy Policy and DPA.
Personal data is handled and deleted in accordance with those documents, regardless of refund status.
10. Changes to This Policy
TripProf may update this Policy from time to time.
Material changes will be communicated through the Services.

This Policy is governed by the same law and jurisdiction as the Terms of Service, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
